Since our incorporation in August 1991, the Hotel Dieu Hospital Foundation has sponsored many events and fundraisers to benefit the patients of our Hospital who come from all over Victoria County, from as far north as St. Leonard and as far south as Bath.
 

• Some fundraisers have been large-scale such as the popular, multi-year daytime relay, the  W.H.I.P. (With Help It’s Possible) Relay, the “Because We Care” Cancer Campaign, the Digital Ultra Sound Project, the 1995-1997 New Wing Expansion Project (Surgical Suite, X-Ray, Lab, ER, Medical / Concentrated Care Unit, Foyer- Front Entrance), the “Light A Memory” ceremony (purchasing bulbs for the hospital’s outdoor Christmas trees in memory of loved ones) and the new Laparoscopic Surgical Equipment Project.

• Other fundraisers have been on a smaller scale such as golf tournaments, selling tickets on Mother’s Day baskets or donated quilts and 4 F’s- Friends, Food, Funds for the Foundation (inviting friends over for a meal and donating the voluntary proceeds to the Foundation).

• We welcome new ideas to raise funds. You can also plan a fundraiser of your own and donate the proceeds to the Foundation. If you would like to help, just contact us.

• Our job is to raise funds in many ways. We do it by encouraging the community to actively support Hotel Dieu Hospital through -
